Because it is written in the Java programming language, Aktub as a program is compatible with most popular operating systems. This includes, but is not limited to, Windows XP, Windows 98SE, Windows NT, all flavors of Linux, and Mac OS X. However, it should be noted that Aktub has been extensively tested only on Mac OS X (10.4.7), Windows XP SP2, and Kubuntu Linux (6.0).Simply because the program is compatible with your operating system, however, does not necessarily mean that all of its capabilities will function properly. You must also ensure that your computer satisfies all of the system requirements for the best experience with Aktub. This is also dependent upon the version of the Java Runtime Environment that you have installed and are running. I recommend that you use only JRE 1.4.2 or 1.5.0 if you are using Windows XP or Linux, and JRE 1.4.2 if you are using Mac OS X.In Linux and Windows XP, Aktub is fully compatible and all functions will perform well. Aktub functions well with Mac OS X, but due to limitations of the operating system, some features are disabled, though not to a point where it detracts from the usefulness of the application.
